Here we introduce how to operate aeroTAP with a video tutorial.

Install and Uninstall aeroTAP

Installing aeroTAP

aeroTAP can be installed by clicking setup.exe.

Uninstalling aeroTAP

To uninstall aeroTAP, Open [Control Panel]->[Add/Delete programs], then select [aeroTAP] and click [remove] button.

Starting aeroTAP

Click aeroTAP shortcut icon on the desktop.

Exiting aeroTAP

To exit aeroTAP, right click aeroTAP system tray icon, then select [Exit] from popup menu.

aeroTAP Screen

The following shows desktop image while running aeroTAP.

aeroTAP Button: aeroTAP button will be activated when waving hand in this area.
aeroTAP Application icon: aeroTAP application button will only be shown when the supported application is activated or running.To display aeroTAP application button, tap Windows button of aeroTAP icon.
Logo icon: By clicking this icon, website www.aeroTAP.net will open

System tray icon:

By right clicking this icon, aeroTAP popup menu will appear.

By double clicking this icon, aeroTAP setting dialog box will appear.

aeroTAP configuration

[ Settings ] Tab

Using [Settings] Tab, you can setup Webcam's feedback effect and camera settings.

Feedback
Effect	You can select Webcam's feedback image. As is - Feedback displays Webcam's imput image as is. Sepia - Feedback image will be in Sepia color effect Grayslale - Feedback image will be in grayslace effect Bin - Feedback image will be in binary effect HSV Mask - Feedback will be configured in HSV color filtered image. Icon - Feedback won't be displayed. Only feedback with icon image will be displayed. You can select icon image used for feedback from [Icon Style] combobox. Note: When you're using [HSV Mask] for feedback, you have to check [Enable HSV Color mask feature] checkbox and restart the application.
Icon Color	Icon color is only effected when selecting [Circle] or [Histgram] for Icon Style.
Icon Style:	You can select Icon image used for feedback. Note: You can also add your own additional icon image. Additional icons are available at http://www.aeroTAP.net web site.
Refresh Rate	You can change feedback refresh rate.
Idle Time	By using idle time, aeroTAP can conserve your CPU power. If there is no webcam activity for while, aeroTAP automatically lower FPS. aeroTAP can detect activity of webcam, then restore FPS setting automatically.
Transparent	You can set feedback's transparency.
Size	You can also select feedback screen size.
Zoom	When operating far from the web camera, change the settings to "x2 Zoom" for better operation.
Mirror feedback image	Feedback is mirrored when you operate aeroTAP at the font of Web camera and monitor.
Webcam
Check your webcam setting before starting	If you are not sure of current webcam settings such as image size and mode, you can use this option and restart the application. aeroTAP will then lauch video setting dialog box.
FPS	Webcam's FPS( You can select 30 or 15FP) Hint: 15 FPS is good enough to operate aeroTAP. Using 30FPS requires more processing power.
Sensitivity	You can adjust sensitivity of gesture detection such as virtual cursor and virtual button control.
Enable HSV Color mask feature	Enabling HSV Color filtering requires additional 40MB of memory. Hint: You can use this option if you operate aeroTAP in noisy environment such as people moving around in the backgound.
CAM
Show Preview	You can check webcam's input image by checking this option. You can verify if webcam is properly focused and positioned.

Note: If you don't want yourself shown on the screen,choose [icon] in the [feedback effect]menu.

[ Options ] Tab

Using [ Features ] tab, you can setup aeroTAP's option settings.

Screensaver
Stop webcam when screensaver is activated	When aeroTAP detects the start of screensaver, the web camera will automatically be disabled.
Block screensaver	While you are using aeroTAP, you can prevent screensaver from coming on.
Blackout detection
Action	If you cover your webcam by hand or turn the room lights off, aeroTAP detects blackout. Yuo can define action when aeroTAP detects blackout.
Mouse Gesutre
Enable mosue Gesture emulation	By enabling this option, you can emulate mouse gestures. Mouse gesutre will be activated only for FireFox, InternetExplorer, MSPaint and Google Earth. Note: You have to install Mouse Gesutre Add-in application for FireFox/Internet Explorer.
Usability
Tutorial Mode	By enabling this mode, aeroTAP will always display guidance message. Note: Default is ON
Auto Click mode	If you are running FireFox, InternetExplorer or in desktop, aeroTAP will perform 'Click' action automatically. It is usefull when you browse the internet. You don't need to perform 'Click' action everytime.
Enable Tap sound	By enabling this option,you will hear sounds when you tap a button or do a gesture.
Select Skin	You can change skin for aeroTAP. Note: Additional skin will be available via aeroTAP's website.
Check update when starting	By enabing this opiton, aeroTAP will check for updates when you start aeroTAP. Note: Internet connection is required.

About mouse gestures:

To use mouse gestures,an application for mouse gestures need to be installed.The compatibility with the following applications has been checked.

Internet Explrorer

FireFox

[HSV Color Filter]Tab

By enabling [Enable HSV Color Filter feature] option on [Setting] tab, [HSV Color Filter] tab wil be displayed.

By using HSV Color filter setting, you can adjust filter setting for your webcam. Then aeroTAP only detect filtered video. After you completed the setting, click the [apply] button and save the sattings.
Also you can create you own custom presets. You can load saved presets information at anytime.

Initial user will see this dialog box.

Please check the webcam setting and position to operate the aeroTAP by following the instructions on the screen.

Note: To get the best experiense from webcam, you can use the preview window. Fit your hand to the rentangle area.
