Use aeroTAP - Before you run aeroTAP

Please take a time to learn about aeroTAP's operation by watching our tutorial video.

Finger Tapping
1. To cctivate the virtual cursor
Tapping finger (or move your finger like drawing circle)
Tapping two fingers
2. To Lock the virtual cursor(move mouse cursor)
After virtual cursor is activated, you can move it , or lock the virtual cursor by slow down your moving. Virtual cursor will be turned to red. The actual mouse cursor also moved to that point.

If you want to adjust the location, you can move your finger with a little tapping. Then virtual cursor will follow your point.

NOTE: If you move quick or far distance from current position, virtual cursor won't move or canceled.
3. Click or Duble click
Once you have moved the cursor to target location, you should stop tapping your finger, then it will lock the cursor for next action( Click). . The color of virtual cursor will be turned gray and wait for your click action.
In this state you can't move virtual cursor.

To perform 'Click' action, you just open your fingers. Then it will cross the virtual cursor area. It will cause click action.

Hint: You don't need to open your fingers so fast. Elegent or graceful movement is better for aeroTAP detection.

Hint: First, you need to learn the basics on how to operate the aeroTAP.
aeroTAP provides tutorial mode and full feedback mode to make it easy for you to learn the basic operation.

[Before you run]

  • System and Hardware requirements:
    OS : Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7
    Hardware Requirement: Sufficient RAM and CPU to run Microsoft Windows and applications.
    Memory:aeroTAP requires maximum of 400MB of temporary memory(If HSV Color filtering is enabled ).
    Web Camera: RGB24/Yuv 320x240 Resolution, 15/30 FPS
  • Before you run, please check your Web camera's settings:
    Is Focusset correctly?
    Is you Webcam meet the requirements ( more than 15FPS )?
  • Web camera location:
    Please setup and place your web camera at an appropriate location. We recommend you place your web camera onto the top of monitor. Then , adjust your webcam prevent background movements.

Hint: We recommend that you to be patient until you get familiar with finger tapping for aeroTAP operation. It tooks us a little time to adjust tapping especially when we're all used to using a mouse as our input device. Once get the grasp of tapping, your can feel and understand the advantage of aeroTAP's operation.
Don't tap your finger in front of other cameras. Our aeroTAP technology has not implemented all the features to all camera yet!
