aeroTAP Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is the difference between the free license and the paid license of aeroTAP?
A. The paid license will allow you to use aeroTAP continously. However,the free license needs reinstallation after 30days.There are no difference in the features.

Q.I can't add the stereo camera.
A.You can use stereo camera function only with aeroTAP for Signage.For business users that want to evaluate, please contact us from the support form.

Q. When running aeroTAP,the screen flickers.
A. Please check the graphics card driver of the computer.You need to have a driver for a video card installed,not o driver compatible with Windows OS.

Q.Are there any limitations for the camera to use wit aeroTAP?
A.At least 320x240 of resolution and FPS30 is required.Most cameras already have this, and to increase the performance,we recommend using cameras with RGB24 available.

Q.Are there any limitations of the computer's resolution?
A.The resolution of the camera is important but it does NOT depend on the computer's resolution.

Q.When booting aeroTAP,the computer's performance remarkably slows down.
A.Please check if the resolution of the camera is set to 320x240.You can use 640x240,but you will need an enviroment with a high-spec CPU. Also make sure the actual FPS is enough.In some situations, you may need to set it to 15FPS.

Q. "Screensaver" option is selected for blackout feature, but it only runs one time and doesn't work afterward.
A. If you are using Windows Vista, it can not continuously run the screensaver. always. Please change the following Registry value to fix the problem.
HCU\Control Panel\Desktop\ScreenSaveActive Value set to 2

Q. My Googl Earth shows screen flickers when running with aeroTAP.
A. Please make sure your Google Earth setting of graphics driver is set to 'DirectX'.

Q. The screen feedback and the performance is slow.
A. Please verify your webcam's actual FPS.Some webcamera may not get enough FPS because of the load for auto setting of brightness and focus.Especially for those that correct brightness automatically in dark rooms, refer to the actual measured value.For a suitable environment, 14FPS and more is recommended.

END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

DEFINITIONS

The following definitions apply to the terms and conditions included in this Agreement.

aeroTAP
means a software, developed by nextEDGE Technology K.K., for user interface using Webcam to operate computers.

software
means areroTAP, all program and information files and other documentation which are part of the aeroTAP Software package.

Individual
means a particular person.

TERMS OF AGREEMENT

This is a legal agreement between you, the users, and nextEDGE Technology K.K.. By installing or using this Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree to those terms, you may not use or install the Software.

You are entitled to use the Software on all personal computers (laptops/desktops). "Use" means loaded in temporary memory or permanent storage on the computer.

You may not sell, rent, lease or sublicense the Software, without the explicit written consent of nextEDGE Technology K.K..

The Software is protected by copyright laws and international treaties.

All intellectual property rights such as but not limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights or trade secret rights related to the Software are the property of and remains vested in nextEDGE Technology K.K./its suppliers.

You shall not modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software or any part thereof or otherwise attempt to derive source code or create derivative works therefrom.

You are not allowed to remove, alter or destroy any proprietary, trademark or copyright markings or notices placed upon or contained with the Software.

The Software may be subject to export or import regulations, and the user agrees to comply strictly with all such laws and regulations. The user agrees not to export or re-export the Software or any part thereof or information pertaining thereto to any country for which a U.S. government agency requires an export license or other governmental approval without first obtaining such license or approval.

Privacy statement: nextEDGE Technology K.K. strives to protect the security and privacy of the users of its products, and will strictly protect the security of the users�f personal information, within the confines of the nextEDGE domain.

Any variation to the terms of this Agreement shall only be valid if made in writing by nextEDGE Technology K.K..

Notice to U.S. Government Users: The Software and any associated documentation are "Commercial Items," as that term is defined at 48 C.F.R. 2.101, consisting of "Commercial Computer Software" and "Commercial Computer Software Documentation," as such terms are used in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 or 48 C.F.R. 227.7202, as applicable. Consistent with 48 C.F.R. 12.212 or 48 C.F.R. 227.7202-1 through 227.7202-4, as applicable, the Commercial Computer Software and Commercial Computer Software Documentation are licensed to U.S. Government end users (a) only as Commercial Items and (b) with only those rights as are granted to all other end users pursuant to the terms and conditions herein.
